Cross-unit level training at KNUST E-Learning Centre: insights and feedback
The KNUST E-Learning Centre has launched a Units-Level Cross-Training Program to improve collaboration and operational efficiency among its staff. The program is designed to help staff members understand the roles, responsibilities, and activities of each unit within the Centre.
This initiative is expected to enhance teamwork and ensure that all units work together more effectively. The first day of the training took place on December 11, 2024. It provided an opportunity for staff members to learn about the different units at the Centre, including the Service Support Centre, Instructional Design Unit (IDU), Proctor and Online Assessment Unit, and Studios located at the Casely Hayford Building and Virtual Reality Studios.

The training sessions were held in various locations across the Centre to give staff a comprehensive overview of each unit's work. The program was structured to take place in 2 days, with Day 2 scheduled on December 12, 2024. The training is part of an ongoing effort to create a more cohesive work environment where all staff members can collaborate efficiently.

However, the training also had several positive outcomes. Staff members were able to engage with each other, which will likely improve communication and cooperation in the future. Looking ahead, the KNUST E-Learning Centre plans to continue offering training opportunities that foster a collaborative working environment.

The feedback from the first day will help the organisers make necessary adjustments for the following sessions. The Centre remains committed to improving its operations and ensuring that all units work together to achieve common goals.
