E-Learning Centre outdoors its newly developed Data Visualization Platform

DataVisualizationPlatform KECIn collaboration with the UITS, the Centre has developed a means of monitoring or visualizing the various performance of colleges, faculties, departments as well as lecturers on their use of the virtual classroom for teaching and learning.

The Director clarified that in monitoring teaching and learning online, the Centre would not only look at the patronage of zoom classes or live sessions but shall also monitor other online activities such as making materials available online in order that students may interact with one another through discussions and forums and updating contents online.

This monitoring and evaluation is necessary, he said, to the achievement of the new vision of the Vice-Chancellor in running programs on the ratio of a minimum of 30% online and 70% in-person for all regular students and 50-50% blended learning for distance students

Again, it would help management monitor and in turn motivate stakeholders that may be falling behind in the use of the LMS when necessary. The Director therefore encouraged all HODs to have all courses registered online and to encourage students to as well register their courses.

Management of the Centre is certain that its new Data Visualization Platform will facilitate its strategic objective of promoting e-learning activities in the University.
