KNUST honours Agrimpact CEO Daniel Acquaye with honorary doctorate
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has conferred an honorary Doctor of Science degree on Mr. Daniel Acquaye, Chief Executive Officer of Agrimpact Limited, at its 59th Congregation.
The announcement was made by the Registrar of the University, Mr. Benjamin Boampong Owusu, who said the honour recognises Mr. Acquaye’s long-standing contribution to agribusiness, enterprise development and support for academic work at KNUST.
“Mr. Acquaye has worked across many countries and has supported major initiatives that link agriculture, research and enterprise development.

The University acknowledges his continuous support and the impact of that support on teaching, research and student training.” he said. Mr. Acquaye is known for his work in agricultural value chains, enterprise development and support for small-scale producers.
His collaborations with KNUST include the supply of equipment to academic units, support for research and partnerships that link industry and the University.
These include contributions to the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Agriculture and other academic units that use digital systems, laboratory tools and industry-led training.
His company, Agrimpact Limited, also works closely with the KNUST E-Learning Centre on projects that introduce digital tools into agricultural training and practical learning.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Mr. Acquaye said the recognition was meaningful because of his long relationship with the University.
“KNUST trained me, and the knowledge I gained here shaped my work. Whatever I have been able to give back is only a continuation of that journey.”
he said. KNUST noted that the honorary award is part of the University’s effort to recognise individuals whose work supports national development and strengthens academic progress.
