Luv FM visits KNUST E-Learning Centre ahead of E-Learning Awareness Week and the Luv FM High School Debate competition

The KNUST E-Learning Centre has hosted a team from Luv FM, a Kumasi-based media outlet under the Multimedia Group.

The visit was part of a wider effort to exchange ideas and explore how media and education can work together to support digital learning.

Luv FM is known for using radio and television to reach audiences with educational content. The visit was a chance to share experiences and talk about new ways to improve learning using media tools and digital platforms.

The E-Learning Centre, which supports online teaching and learning at KNUST, introduced the Luv FM team to its studios, podcast space, and digital content systems.

Staff explained how the Centre helps lecturers create video and audio content, manage virtual classrooms, and train students to use online tools.

The discussion focused on how both teams are working toward a shared goal: improving access to learning.

While Luv FM brings experience in broadcasting and storytelling, the E-Learning Centre provides digital platforms, training support, and virtual learning spaces for students and teachers.

The visit also allowed both teams to think through ideas around content development, youth programs, and the role of media in supporting literacy.

Although no formal partnership has been announced, both sides shared their interest in finding common ground in the area of public education.

The visit comes ahead of two major events—E-Learning Awareness Week and the Luv FM High School Debate Competition.

These upcoming events focus on digital education, student engagement, and public awareness about learning in the 21st century.

The Luv FM High School Debate is an annual contest that brings together schools from across the Ashanti Region.

It has grown into a key youth engagement platform, where students debate topics on health, technology, and national development.

At the same time, the KNUST E-Learning Centre is preparing to host E-Learning Awareness Week 2025, a university-wide event that brings together students, educators, and industry players to discuss digital learning tools and skills.

The week features workshops, exhibitions, and public forums that aim to promote digital literacy.

The timing of the two events highlights a growing interest in youth-focused education that cuts across classrooms, radio stations, and online platforms.

The visit ended with a tour of the E-Learning studios.

The Luv FM team observed how KNUST supports online examinations, live virtual lectures, and immersive content development through its podcast and pedagogy units.
