The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology's Student Representative Council (SRC), in collaboration with the KNUST Advancement and Alumni Relations Office, held the Nyansapo Dialogue Series on January 22, 2023. The one-day event brought together a panel of distinguished alumni, who shared their perspectives and experiences with current students with the goal of promoting a more responsible approach to realizing KNUST's vision of being among the top ten universities in Africa.

The panel, moderated by SRC Vice President Ms. Deborah Afra Boakye, consisted of three accomplished alumni: Mr. Samuel Sarpong, the current Managing Director of the National Investment Bank; Dr. Mrs. Augustina Sylverken, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences and a Senior Research Fellow at KCCR; and Mr. Abubakhar Ahmed, also known as Black Rasta, a popular musician and radio broadcaster. During the discussion, the panelists offered valuable advice on how to balance academic, social, and religious aspects of campus life and shared insights on navigating life after school. They also discussed the aesthetic and cultural shift on campus, reminiscing about their time at KNUST and addressing questions from students with enthusiasm and expertise.

The diverse backgrounds and experiences of the panelists made for a rich and engaging discussion, and the event was a testament to the wealth of knowledge and talent within the KNUST community. The Nyansapo Dialogue Series is an excellent initiative that showcases the strength of KNUST's alumni network and provides a platform for current students to engage with accomplished professionals in their respective fields.

The event was attended by a large number of students, who were eager to learn from the experiences of the panelists. The audience was captivated by the panelists' stories, and the discussion sparked lively conversation and debate.

The Nyansapo Dialogue Series is just one of the many initiatives that KNUST is undertaking to build a vibrant and supportive community that empowers students to achieve their academic and professional goals. Through events like these, KNUST is nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators, and strengthening its reputation as a premier science and technology university in Ghana and beyond.
