Support for University admissions office in Online Admissions advisory event

SupportForUniversity

Applying for school can be tedious and involving but with enough support and advisory information from the institution you are applying to, one can have some certainty in seeking admissions. Having this in mind, the admissions office of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the KNUST E-Learning Centre and the University Relations Office, organised an online admissions advisory event for applicants and prospective applicants to various degrees of the University.

The University Relations Officer, Dr. Daniel Noris Bekoe, moderated the event. His panellists were Mr. Christopher Addo - the Senior Assistant Registrar at the Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) - and Mr. Charles Asamoah Boateng, the Senior Assistant Registrar at the University Admissions Office. The event was streamed live on YouTube with viewers from across the country asking various questions concerning the admissions process. This was made possible by the Service Support Team of the KNUST E-Learning Centre.

Offering Final Guidance on your application

Applicants were, among other things, advised to make sure their details especially the names on their application documents match the ones on their WASSCE results. There were over 500 viewers online during the live session with more than 3,000 people watching after the live streaming.

The event was highly successful as viewers had their questions answered live by the admissions officers. The Admissions Office plans to hold more of these sessions in future with the KNUST E-Learning Centre pledging its full support.
