Masterclass and Content Creation Workshop for Faculty of KNUST and Affiliate Institutions.

The renowned MasterCard Foundation (MCF), in partnership with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) E-Learning Center (KEC), completed a highly effective two-week Masterclass and Content Creation Workshop at the MasterCard Impact Building. Held from 6th November to 17th November, the event was well attended by faculty members from both KNUST and its affiliate institutions.

The workshop kicked off with an opening speech by the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Prof. (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson. During her address, she underscored the importance of this initiative, reinforcing the university’s dedication to equipping faculty members with crucial skills and knowledge to consistently enhance the learning experience of students.

Participants were grouped into two cohorts, each under the guidance of different facilitators, skillfully navigating them through the adaptation of current course materials for online education. The sessions aimed to encourage creativity and innovation in course delivery, aligning with the dynamic changes in the field of online education. Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in practical exercises and interactive discussions. This hands-on approach provided them with valuable perspectives on modern teaching methods and content creation approaches.

The Masterclass and Content Creation Workshop demonstrates the collaborative dedication of the MasterCard Foundation and KNUST E-Learning Centre to enhance education in Africa by incorporating innovative teaching methods and integrating technology.

As the workshop ended on the 17th of November, participants left with a renewed sense of inspiration, armed with fresh knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly influence the trajectory of education at KNUST and its affiliate institutions. Given its notable success, the Masterclass and Content Creation Workshop is poised to make a lasting impact on the academic community, promising a brighter future for both students and educators.
