KNUST E-Learning Centre supports JSMQ
As part of efforts to promote Science and Mathematics education in Junior High Schools in the entire nation, organizers birthed the National Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ). In order to reach an online audience, organizers officially requested the KNUST E-Learning Centre to support the program with live streaming.
Following the request, the E-Learning centre put together a team from the Service Support Unit to help with live streaming of all the contests from the commencement to end of the quiz. The contest began from Accra where they held the preliminary stage. The team then returned to the KNUST campus, Kumasi, to conclude the final stage of the program. Participants of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz pride themselves to be a part of the maiden edition of the quiz. Their participation serves as a milestone to greater things.
The KNUST E-Learning Centre remains committed to its mandate of supporting online activities of the university. We are hopeful that the partnership between the organizers of the maiden edition of the National Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ) will be the beginning of a new era of Science and Mathematics engagement among Junior High School students in Ghana.
