The KNUST E-Learning Centre has held a four-day retreat to review its strategic direction, assess ongoing activities and develop action plans for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The retreat, held from 26th to 29th May 2026 at Nyansapo Eco Resort, brought together staff and management to discuss the Centre’s operations, strategic priorities and budget planning.
The programme opened with arrival, travel, a tour of the facility, check-in, dinner and an orientation session led by the Director and Registrar.
On the second day, participants took part in aerobics and a welcome session before engaging with a presentation on “KEC Reimagined: Propelling Our University to Eminence.” The retreat also featured a presentation of the draft KNUST E-Learning Centre Strategic Plan by Prof. Emmanuel Kofi Akowuah, followed by breakout sessions where teams reviewed implementation strategies. The day ended with presentations from the various groups for discussion and feedback.

The third day focused on developing sectional action plans for the strategic plan. Participants discussed implementation approaches before taking part in a workshop to present the final strategic plan.

The programme also included a mid-year budget review, preparations for the next financial year and planning sessions for the 2026/2027 academic year involving sectional heads and members. Closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Emmanuel Kofi Akowuah.

The retreat concluded on the fourth day with breakfast, check-out and departure.
The retreat formed part of the Centre’s efforts to strengthen planning, improve coordination across sections and align its activities with the University’s goals for teaching, learning and digital transformation.
