KNUST E-Learning Centre Marks Ghana Month with Food, Games and Cultural Display

The KNUST E-Learning Centre has marked Ghana Month with a series of activities that brought staff together through culture, food, and games.

The celebration formed part of efforts to recognise Ghanaian culture within the work environment while continuing the Centre’s focus on digital learning.

Ghana Month - KEC 1

Activities took place at the office and involved staff across different roles. As part of the programme, members dressed in Ghanaian prints and took part in group photos to mark the occasion.

Ghana Month - KEC 2

Games were also organised during the celebration. Staff played oware, ludo, draught, and video games. One of the moments that drew attention was a ludo game involving the Director, Emmanuel Kofi Akowuah. He joined the game late but went on to win against colleagues, including Anita Banafo and Hilda Asare.

Ghana Month - KEC 3

The Centre also held a food display as part of the climax of the celebration. Local dishes including fufu, banku, and kokonte were served. Traditional drinks such as zomkomi, sobolo, and alassa were also available. Snacks including nkate cake and plantain chips were shared among staff.

Participants moved between activities during the event, taking part in games, eating, and interacting with colleagues.

The Centre said the celebration was part of its effort to bring culture into its activities while maintaining its work in digital learning.
